INTRODUCTORY REMARK |
Since the very beginning, human beings are
collectors. It all started with roots, fruits and berries, and there is nothing on earth which is not collected by anybody. The question is: what makes a real collection? But even if I don't know the exact answer, I present you
things here, which I have gathered during the last couple of years and which some people would probably call a collection. |

LUNCH BOXES |
Here is the most beautiful of my
Peanuts lunch boxes. Click on it or on the navigation button at the left to see more details of my collection. |

ELEPHANTS |
I also love elephants and I own a little collection of nice
figurines from all over the world (sorry, I have no pictures available, yet). Click on the elephant and jump to an interesting web site.

AMERICAN MILK BOTTLES |
These ten bottles are part of my antique American milk bottle collection. You may ask why, the heck, is anybody collecting milk bottles? Well, I like to remember
the good old days when the milkman brought them right to your door in the morning. Today, I put in flowers, pine twigs and decorate them with Easter eggs or other seasonable articles. It looks terrific! But I also use them
in the kitchen for sugar, rice and all kinds of other stuff. Actually, the only substance which I do not fill in is milk.

PIGGIES |
My newest obsession are pigs. It's a funny
story, because I always wanted to have one of those porcelain pigs you sometimes see on the desk of old fashioned butcher's shops. Until today, I could not get one, yet. Therefore, to comfort me,
Heinz bought me a nice poster with lots of little piggies which is now hanging on our kitchen wall. This initiated many of our friends to bring pigs in all shapes and sizes as little gifts, and in the meantime, it turned into a
real collection. Click on the two little piggies or on the navigation button at the left to see some pieces of my collection.

SILVER STUFF |
I collect all kinds of silver, too. On the picture, you only see a sample of five out of my many antique silver pieces I have
bought during the last years. The range is spanned widely, it starts with rings and bracelets and ends up with a beautiful old fondue set (which we don't use).

FINALLY... |
If you would ask Heinz about my biggest
collection, he would most likely answer: shoes! Well, I have to admit that I've got a couple of pairs, indeed, but I don't reveal the actual number here... |
