MY LUNCH BOXES IN DETAIL |
Apart from my very first one, I found most of
my lunch boxes on the famous Stormville Flea Market in the Hudson Valley and they are all from the Sixties and early Seventies, I guess. However, I don't know how many different Peanuts boxes were produced, so if you happen to have
this information, please drop me an e-mail. |

EXPLANATION |
FRONT SIDE |
BACK SIDE |
#1 This is the first lunch box I've ever bought. It was during a neighbors moving sale in 1996. |
#2 The most beautiful one and also a very rare piece. Snoopy is holding a blue cup and I learned from a Collector's Guide that on most boxes of this series it's a red one.
#3 This box is also a nice one and in very good shape. I doubt that it has ever been used (at least it was never used to hit a fellow classmate on the head). |
#4 The boxes #4 to #6 show the same pictures but the colors are different. This one is red, for instance. |
#5 This box has a yellow lid and a yellow bottom, but the sides are red. |
#6 This box is yellow all over. |

Click on the globe to learn more about
American lunch boxes, they are pretty unknown in Germany - at least I haven't seen any antique ones, yet.

Finally, if you understand German, a click on
this globe beams you to our Poughkeepsie Newsletter web site where you can read more about the American flea market culture and the Stormville event (it's Newsletter #23).
