MORRIS MINOR 1000 SUPER |
|
Here she is, my "Mylady", a
Morris Minor 1000 Super. I purchased her in Denmark in 1989 and this is also the year and the place when the picture was taken. My lady was built in 1967 (!) and first registered in May 1968, but she is still going strong. |
|
This model is one of the most charming yet
most reliable cars in the world and that's why the Danes call her the "jordmor bil" (midwife car). There are still hundreds of them running everywhere around the world. |
Before we moved to the USA we stored her in
a barn in a little village not far from Mainz to hibernate and when we came back after four years, her engine (998 ccm, 40 hp) started immediately without any problems. Try that with one of the modern cars stuffed with electronic
features! |
|
|
In 2004, I sold my "Mylady" with a bleeding
heart, since I had no opportunity to drive her appropriately. Good bye my dear! |

JEEP WRANGLER - SAHARA EDITION |
|
This is my Jeep Wrangler, Sahara
Edition, fully loaded with all extras you can think of: cruise control, air condition and whatnot. I purchased it in the US, a year before we moved back to Germany. |
|
Considering the fuel prices in Germany, it is
not the smartest thing to drive such a big car, but luckily, I can still afford it and I don't drive very much. |

OPEL KADETT J |
|
My Opel Kadett J (a 1986 model).
Heinz calls it in fun "the Blue Deer". It was my father's car but I registered it to my name when my dad passed away, because it runs and runs... |

HARLEY-DAVIDSON SPORTSTER |
|
Here is the backside view of my
Harley- Davidson Sportster. If you understand German, click on our little banner below and read the full story about Heinz' and my motorcycle obsession. |

FINALLY... |
After having shown you all my vehicles, I do not want you to leave this page without my explicit statement that I love to travel by train! I do most of my domestic trips by train because it is much more convenient.
